Toronto Mandolin Orchestra
The Toronto Mandolin Orchestra has been part of the Toronto music scene for 61 years. Formed in 1956, it began as a primarily Ukrainian musical group but soon broadened its repertoire to encompass the musical traditions of other Canadians and to include classical pieces and commissioned Canadian works. The programme will feature an all-classical line-up of some of the world’s most popular and recognizable numbers, performed with a fresh perspective and the distinctive sound of a mandolin orchestra.

Resident soloist Ira Erokhina
Ira Erokhina, Concertmaster of the tmo and resident soloist, studied at the Russian State Academy of Music in Moscow and was soloist with the Osipov Folk Orchestra. She will perform Meditation and Concerto for Domra.
